Rock Creek Elementary families—our Weekly Update for 2/1/26 is now available! Please take a few minutes to check it out for important news, celebrations, updates, and upcoming events.
Bring Items For The Annual Food Drive at Rock Creek
February 2nd marks the 100th Day of School, and our Rockets are celebrating with a meaningful challenge. Each grade level is working to collect 100 non-perishable food items to support Operation Backpack, a program that provides weekend food for children in our community.
Kindergarten has issued the challenge, and on the 100th day of school, Kindergarten classes will count each grade level’s donations—connecting math, service, and leadership. SHARE Club will assist with sorting and packing all donated items for delivery.
Collection Dates: January 14 – February 2 Items: One or more kid-friendly, non-perishable food items Drop-Off Location: Outside classroom doors
Let’s show that Rocket Pride goes beyond 100... thank you for supporting our students and community.

Fort Zumwalt School District recommends that all age-eligible children have a developmental screening, yearly, to assess progress in all areas of growth and development, including problem-solving, communication, personal/social-emotional development, motor skills, health, vision and hearing. You can make your December appointment now for students ages 3-years to Kindergarten to help them be ready for school. https://bit.ly/4ppN4Cz

🎉 INCREDIBLE NEWS, ROCK CREEK! 🎉
Thanks to our amazing Students, Families, Community, and Staff, we collected a WHOPPING 178 TURKEYS for our No Hunger Holiday drive! 🦃 That's 178 families who will have a warm meal this season.
Our LARGEST collection yet!
THANK YOU ❤️
Last year, we brought in the most turkeys out of ALL Fort Zumwalt elementary schools during the No Hunger Holiday Turkey Drive! 🥇 Way to go, Rock Creek!
This year, we’re setting a big goal: 125 turkeys to help families right here in our own community. We know this holiday season is especially hard for many, and we can make a real difference together.
Here’s how you can help: 💵 Bring in CASH donations: November 10–14 🦃 Bring in FROZEN TURKEYS: November 19
If we hit our goal… every student will enjoy: 🎉 Pajama Day ☀️ Extra Recess 🦃 And… Dr. Dierker & Mrs. McCoy dancing in Turkey Costumes!
PLUS — the grade level that brings in the most will earn a Movie & Snack Party!
Let’s fill those freezers and show the community what Rock Creek pride looks like! 💙💛
