Can Food Drive

100 Cans of food on the 100th  Day of School!

February 8th is the 100th Day of School.  This day is also a community service project day at Rock Creek.  Our goal is to collect at least 100 food items to donate to Operation Backpack from each grade level. Operation Backpack is a program that distributes weekend backpacks of healthy, kid-friendly food during the school year to thousands of needy children in public schools within our community.

Rock Creek Kindergarten classrooms are challenging the other grade levels at RCE to try to collect 100 cans/food items by the 100th Day of School, February 8th. Kindergarten classes will count each grade level's food items on the 100th Day of School to help practice counting to 100. SHARE Club will then sort and pack the food items to give to Operation Backpack in O'Fallon.

Please send 1 or MORE non-perishable food items / cans of food to school with your child starting Wednesday, January 24th-  Thursday, February 8th  to help your grade level collect 100 cans.

**Our food collection will end on Thursday, February 8th.
