No Hunger Holiday Turkey Drive

Please help us serve our local community through the frozen turkey drive for the No Hunger Holiday. This organization feeds families in St. Charles County and some surrounding areas as well. Fort Zumwalt Schools are a huge contributor.

When:  Wednesday, November 15th

How to Support: There are two options. 

Option 1:  Drop off a frozen turkey 

  • Frozen turkeys can be dropped off at arrival on Wednesday morning, November 15th.

  • Feel free to hand off your turkey to a staff member during drop off. 

  • Y Club families can bring a turkey in while dropping off their child, too.  

Option 2: Make a cash donation this week, November 6th- 10th. Funds used to purchase more turkeys.

Gobble, Gobble- Let the competition begin!!  

Which turkey will dance at lunch? 

  • Will it be Dr. Dierker or Mrs. Sandstrom

How does your child help this competition? 

  • Rock Creek will split into two teams for this friendly, in-house competition. 

Teams:   Team Dierker vs. Team Sandstrom

  • Team Dierker: Kindergarten, 1st Grade, and 3rd Grade

  • Team Sandstrom: 2nd Grade, 4th Grade, and 5th Grade

The team with the greatest number of total turkeys at the end of the collection (Nov. 15th) will have their principal dress up like a turkey and dance “The Chicken Dance” during student lunches. 

Special notes about collections:

  • Turkeys collected Wednesday, November 15th ONLY

  • Cash will be collected the week of November 6th-10th

  • Any amount can be sent in and added to your team’s running total. Collected funds will be used to purchase more turkeys. Make sure to send cash in an envelope labeled with your grade level/team name.
