VETERANS DAY:  On November 11,  our student body hosted family and friends who are Veterans or active duty service personnel to our school for our annual Veterans Day assembly.  The day began with a breakfast for Veterans hosted by the PTO.  Boy Scouts held a special flag raising ceremony and presented the colors during the assembly.  Student Council members, Elle Carter and Lauren Rowland, led parts of the assembly.  The Drama Club and Honor Choir, Rockettunes, gave special performances.  Our entire student body sang  a special patriotric medley.   Thank you for all of those who came and continue to teach our young students the value of freedom and service to our country.  We love seeing and hearing from our Veterans, especially those who join us year after year.  ‚Äč

On November 22, 4th graders welcomed their grandparents to school for Rock Creek's 20th Annual Grandparents Day. Many, many grandparents came to school to learn about school life their grandparents are experiencing and also to share their very own school experiences.  The oldest grandparent in attendance was 98 years old and the youngest grandparent today was 46 years old.  One grandma traveled 835 miles to spend the day with us.  Thank you to all who helped make this a special day, including the 4th grade teachers, Mr. Soloman, PTO, and our custodians.
